Thanks to  PCWorld we found out that Google Chrome will soon present a feature that will allow to synchronize our favorite bookmarks through multiple computers, a feature that could have wider implications later. The Chrome development team  is preparing to test a new version of the integrated browser with synchronization capabilities.  The upgrade is expected to be released by the developers within the coming days.

The news was revealed by the Google software engineer, Tim Steele, who reported it to a list of developers.

Google previously offered an extension for Firefox to synchronize bookmarks. Extension which was suspended in mid-2008.

A competitor: Xmarks, will debut the Chrome support (in addition to the current Firefox, IE and Safari) on its product at some point this summer, confirms its CEO James Joaquin.

This could be the start of Chrome storing personal data in the cloud, which then can be extended to speculate syncing files.

Personally, my favorite browser is Chrome, and I’ve been waiting for this feature long time ago. Is one of the few negative points I have found this product.

What I like best is its handling of memory, other browsers such as avoiding saturated after some hours of use. Furthermore cancel tabs (threads) that are giving problems without closing the other tabs.
