The first touchscreen phone made by Nokia and launched officially in November 2008, will be available in the coming weeks in Ecuador.

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is a mid-range smart phone which Nokia has sold 2.6 million units only during the first quarter of this year. The 5800 has a 3.2 touch screen with a resolution of 640 × 360 pixels, the interface has been optimized to operate it with one hand. It includes a 3.2 megapixel camera, accelerometer and supports 3.5G connections. It has TV output, 3.5 mm connector for A / V and the battery supports up to 8 hours in conversation mode. After the presentation, we talk to Jorge Laverde, from Nokia,  about the cellphone and the projects of the Finnish company for LatAm. He commented that by early 2010, the program Comes With Music, will be available for the region, which provides unlimited access to Nokia Music Store for one year with the purchase of a mobile device’s manufacturer. We were also able use the cellphone and explore its functions. Movistar will be the first operator to market the smartphone in the country.
