Every so often appears in the feeds of the sites we read. Completely useless gadgets that are unlikely to achieve any commercial success, but, apparently, are launched to the market just in case. In Japan, these devices are called chindogu.
The International Chindgu Society (ICS) -is a site that recalls the worst Geocities website – is responsible for “collecting and regulating the conditions and requirements of Chindogus”. [wiki]. The requirements:
1. They can not have a real use.
2. They have to exist.
3. The have to incorporate an anarchic spirit.
4. They have to be a tool for daily life.
5. Can not be sold.
6. The humor may not be the sole reason for its creation.
7. Be innocent.
8. Can not touch taboo subjects
9. Can not be patented.
10. Being against bias.
