Last week, during the launch of Movistar Nokia Mail in Quito, I could mess around with it with the N97, the current star product of Nokia -unless the present some other news tomorrow in the Nokia World.
I just could check it a few minutes because they wanted to keep it away from the cameras until the launch in Ecuador to be held, probably, in early 2010. This device had 40GB storage (with expansion card) and it worked noticeably faster than other models I’ve ever tasted. Accustomed to the metallic finish of the latest phones that I used, I missed something similar. The plastic casing does not provide the solid feel of other equipment.
Moreover, the touch screen responded brilliantly and video playback was impeccable.
The quality of pictures is not the best since I took with my E71. The video came out better and includes a demo of their application for Facebook, Photo Gallery, a game and the distinctive click is heard by separating the display. I hope to do a thorough review in the near future.
